Biography

Armando Navarro, PE, did his BSc in Physics and Civil Engineering from NMSU, and MSc in Petroleum Engineering from NMIMT. Having obtained his Professional Engineering licenses in Civil and Petroleum Engineering, he has 40 years of Industry Experience.

He started his professional career as a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer for McClelland Engineers. After obtaining his Masters, he got a start in the Petroleum Industry with ARCO Oil & Gas Company as a Drilling, Completion and Production Engineer. He later joined K&M Technology and then became a Drilling Engineering Advisor for ExxonMobil. Additionally, he was Lead Engineering Consultant for several major companies globally. In 2009, while at Eco Global Solutions, he helped invent and develop environmentally safe drilling and completion fluid technologies that allowed for friction and pressure reductions up to 87%, which allowed wells to be drilled that were once thought of as unattainable. Navarro now serves as the Principal Engineer and Innovator for STAR Energy Resources, Eco Global Solutions, and Coterie Energy.
